Victorian Earl Grey Tea from Simpson & Vail
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend87 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5

Ya gotta love lavender and Earl Gray to love this, but it is the BEST I have ever had in this category. Make it a tad on the weak side if it is new, if you've had it awhile, put in a bit extra. Wonderful stuff.

I've only had this once and I was surprised it was as good as it was. I usually just drink an herbal if I want a tea in the pm, but I may actually buy some.

I'm not a great fan of grocery store tea and PG Tips is my go to for bags, but I gotta say that this is just fine, especially at a friend's house. It just says "warm, comfy, at home"

For tea bag tea, this was quite nice. A fine, middle of the road Earl Gray.It was not too strong or too perfumey, probably one to turn to when you just want something pleasant

This hold the esteemed honor of being the only chamomile blend I've ever had that can be iced to great effect. Chamomile usually tastes horrible iced, but the addition of lemongrass and citrus bits adds something zesty but still cozy. It's my summertime nighty-night blend.

The flavors are mild and disappear wuickly if you like to add anything to your tea (I like honey). The finish is a bit acidic, but not overly so. It's fairly decent for bagged tea.

This is an interesting concoction. This is rather bitter and a bit tart. One of my least favorite teas, it took quite a bit of honey to cover this tea up. The fruity notes taste old and musty while the tea didn't seem to contribute much of anything.

This is a CTC tea and it is insanely strong. I brewed for a little less than a minute, using less than a teaspoon of leaf, and it was still a bit strong for me. This tea is fairly aromatic; I'm not sure exactly the proportions that go in but I can definitely taste some Ceylon and what seems like possibly an Assam or ...

I love me a good coconut flavored beverage, from coconut coffee to piña coladas, and I couldn't resist trying this blend when I heard about it. And yay, it was great!

Broken-leaf, but not fannings like their English Breakfast. I brewed for only 1 minute. The cup was a very rich reddish brown color.
Aroma is extremely perfumey for an Earl Grey, and rather fruity and citrusy. Smells more like a normal orange than the bergamot orange too, and smells almost candy-like, but almost ...

Love this tea for its soothing qualities. It has an herbal flavor, and is not at all astringent. The predominant flavors are chamomile, cinnamon, and cardamom. Stevia is included in this blend and lends a sweet finish after every sip.

I'm generally a fan of Celestial Seasonings fruity herbal teas, but I was disappointed by this one. I found the taste rather cloying. Reading the description given here, I think "red fruit punch" is an apt comparison. I've never liked red fruit punch, so maybe this tea tastes better to those who did.

This is my favorite tea so far from the Boston Tea Company. Although Irish Breakfast isn't my favorite style of black tea, this is without a doubt my favorite Irish breakfast tea yet, and I find this particular blend to stand out among any kind of strong black tea.

Peaches & Ginger (Teabag) from Harney and Sons
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend80 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Oct. 4th, 2010
Harney is one of my favorite companies, as their tea is always of excellent quality. This is a good example, as the tea tastes of freshripe peaches with a nicely balance ginger zing. It is lovely iced and a bit of sugar, while not necessary, brings out the peach even more.

This is a very straightforward English tea. Not a lot of nuances, but no nonsense either. It is assuredly malty and strong, just how I like my black teas. Ideal for mornings, when you don't want to think about what to make, just do it. Ideal for the cream and sugar crowd, in fact, I think it is best with a bit of cr...

I'm not a huge fan of herbal teas, but this is so delightful smelling and tasting that I really liked it. I have a thing for elderberries, either in flower or berry and I found this combo to bring out the best of both. I didn't try it iced, but I think it would be wonderful on a hot summer day.

This tea has a fantastic aroma! A truly lovely sweet (but not sickly sweet!) cherry smell. And unlike most fruit teas, which I find tend to taste thin and bitter, the flavor actually holds up! It's pretty over powering actually, but in a good way. If you're a fan of fruit teas, definitely take the time to check this on...

I tried this tea a second time and I found it had grown on me substantially
This tea combines wild cherry bark with a number of other more familiar "western" ingredients. This tea is fairly sour, probably because of the presence of the hibiscus, which I could do without...but besides that I like it. It is much les...
Earl Grey Citrus from Boston Tea Company

I was expecting this tea to be fruitier and more citrusy than it was, but I was pleasantly surprised. Both the bergamot and citrus presence are balanced, and you really notice the underlying black tea. The aromas blend very well. I suspect that this may be due to the fact that this blend uses actual citrus peel rath...

I think this is a tea most appropriately suited for winter drinking or cold damp days. I might be wrong but I believe it has very little, if any caffeine. It has high notes of chocolate and is very smooth. I don't notice the peppers having a "bite".

I really enjoy this tea. The coconut lifts the aroma into something really special, and rounds out the warmth of the other spices. Chai always feels decadent, but this to me feels extra-decadent. I do wish it were a little less pricey.

People just adore PG Tips, and I know when I was living in England it was most of my British friends go-to brand. I, however, have found it to be a little difficult to brew- you've got to time the steeping perfectly or it ends up a bit bitter and dry tasting. I have better luck with Tetley's and Barry's which seemingly...
