China Black Special from TeaSource
Style: Black Tea – Region: Guangxi, China93 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

TeaSource describes this tea as unusual, and I agree, and not just how it looks, and its origin (only my second tea I've ever tried from Guangxi) but also its flavor and aroma! I really loved this one and I found it easy to drink and enjoy.
The leaf is only lightly aromatic but the smell is very pleasant.

Yunnan FOP from TeaSource
Style: Yunnan Red – Region: Yunnan, China81 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 5/5
Jun. 19th, 2019
One of the most interesting teas I've tried in a while!
The dry leaf, which is quite aesthetic looking, smells very unusual and different. The aroma is strong, quite smoky and also herbaceous, with hints of malt and cocoa. It also reminds me a little bit of the smell of an ashtray though, and also of the "new car" s...
Ceylon, Lumbini Estate, FBOP from TeaSource
Style: Ceylon Black Tea – Region: Matara, Sri Lanka91 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

This was an exceptional tea and without a doubt one of the best Ceylons I've sampled ever. I like Ceylons, but outside of the ones from teakruthi, it's rare I find ones that stand out. This is one of them!
The leaf looks very straightforward, made of large broken pieces of wiry leaf, uniform in texture and dark gray...

I love teas from Kenya, and I've been loving the teas I ordered from TeaSource, so it makes sense I would love this one! I think it is my favorite tea of the whole batch.
The dry leaf smells amazing: there is a sweet, bready quality, and a hint of the juniper smell that is mention in the commercial description.

Hu Hong Mao Feng from TeaSource
Style: Black Tea – Region: Hunan, China90 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

I ordered this exquisite tea from TeaSource with my first order, and it was both interesting and impressive.
The dry leaf is beautiful, curly and somewhat wiry. It is intensely aromatic and the aroma is beautiful: strongly malty, more like rye than other grains, with a nutty quality a little like peanut butter, but ...
Dinjoye TGBOP from TeaSource
Style: Assam – Region: Dibrugarh, Assam, India88 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

I was excited and curious to order from TeaSource, and this was one of the first teas I tried. I have been impressed with all of the teas I've tried, including this one.
The leaf is strongly aromatic and pleasant, mostly a malty smell, and it also gives off the sense that this tea packs a punch.
The brewed cup is...
Minnesota N'ice from TeaSource
Style: Miscellaneous Blend – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5

Like this tea, and the jasmine manages to come across pretty well despite being a black tea blend. Definite orange taste, overall rather a mellow and smooth drinking tea. Sweet base taste, but not as sweet as Georgia Sunshine, for example.

A little like being punched in the face with a peach, but in a really tasty way. Very fragrant, very flavorful. A naturally pretty sweet tea. Would make an EXCELLENT iced tea.

Love this tea, but unfortunately the blend include stevia, which adds a weird aftertaste.
Not super heavy on the chamomile taste, and while the mint is present, is not over-powering. Very nice in the evening, and makes a really solid iced tea.
Wish they made a blend without the stevia, had to stop drinking it as...

One of my newest favorites--this one smells and tastes great, and is unique in both scent and flavor. Don't think of it as a chamomile blend, though--I wouldn't have known it was one without the description. The taste is smoky and flowery, with a hint of menthol from the mints.

Style: Flavored Tea – Region: Hunan, China70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 3rd, 2014
The aroma is dry and a bit loamy, like a dry forest floor. There are also notes of dry leather and very faint roses. After the tea is steeped the aroma is malty and the rose is much stronger, it is heavy and rich.
The first steeping of the little heart shaped nugget of tea happiness is quite rich and filling. Drink...
Iron Goddess of Mercy Oolong (Wulong) from TeaSource
Style: Tie Guan Yin – Region: Fujian, China67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 5/5

The aroma of the dry leaves is extremely fruity with a distinct smokiness and wood smell (oak or hickory). The slightly sweet medium bodied tea liquor however, has no noticeable fruity aroma or taste. But, the liquor does maintain the smokey aroma and wood smell, which is present also in the tea's after taste, and it ...

This is a TeaSource tea I have been drinking for awhile now. I like it very much, both due to it's taste and low price. It is about $10 for 4 oz. This is an everyday tea for me when I have the time for all 6 steepings. I brew this tea using 3g of leaves in 6 oz of 190ºF water with a quick rinse and at 3 mins for s...

The aroma of the dry leaves is very pleasingly fruity and grassy; however, the fruitiness transforms into a mellow floral the moment hot water hits the leaves. The first steeping is very grassy and noticeably savory with a slight—yet not unpleasant—bitterness. In the first steeping, floral and sweet tastes are some...

I picked up this tea from TeaSource a few days ago, about $6 for 4 oz I think. I'm trying to get into greens, I drink mostly oolong and pu'erh now; but I'm hopping to learn to appreciate a little simpler brew. I first heard about this variety of tea on DragonTeaHouse.biz, and was intrigued.

Excellent aroma but very disappointing flavor. This is the first steep, and the cube did not open all the way. Will try a second steep and see if there is a difference.
