Organic Keemun Black Tea from auraTeas
Style: Keemun – Region: Wuyuan, Jiangxi, China93 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5

Dry, this tea carries the wonderful scent of new hay drying in the fields, that indescribeble mix of clover, timothy, trefoil and other grasses. The brewing aroma adds chocolate, fresh wash and good, clean earth. The taste does not disappoint. There is a bit of chocolate, a bit of floral, a bit of honey, all on a bas...

The scent of the dry leaves is of good green earth. They are very compressed. As they brew a green vegetal scent arises with a sharp, pleasant aroma of pineapple. The medium amber liquor tastes about the same, vegetal, pineapple, with a whiff of floral. The second infusion sadly loses the pineapple, as the floral o...

Style: Darjeeling Autumnal Flush – Region: Darjeeling, India80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 7th, 2011
I listed value as only a 3 because you either have to order $60 worth of tea for free shipping or pay a very large shipping cost directly from India. Aside from that, this is such a good tea. It is the first one I have had from Darjeeling that smells like toasted peanuts. It tastes nutty and earthy and toasty. Not a...

They do not lie when they say long leaf - the leaves are huge! They have a fresh malty aroma. I brewed them for about 3.5 minutes with boiling water. This was such a good tea, the flavor is malty and nutty - perhaps walnuts, It is earthy, but has a sweet floral edge to it. Stands up well to cream, but you get the b...

Style: White Tea – Region: Fujian, China20 / 100 Aroma: 2/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 1/5
Mar. 7th, 2011
Among my least favorite bagged teas that I've tried. Aroma very weak: vaguely floral and then dissipating into a stale, tea-like aroma. Pale cup has a muddled flavor, with a little bitterness and more astringency than I'd like, and a little sourness too. I would not drink this again.
My advice is to stick to Twin...
Ginger Snappish™ Herbal Tea with Lemon from Bigelow Tea
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????27 / 100 Aroma: 2/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 6th, 2011
This tea is quite bland, perhaps even insipid, lacking in both ginger and snap. Adding sweetener (sugar or honey) seems to make it cloying.

Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: ?????37 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 1/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 4th, 2011
Rich, full-bodied, and flavorful for a decaf tea, but with some "off" qualities.
I found it was too sour and almost too sweet. It lacked the bitterness or freshness that I expect from an Earl Grey.
I just tried this one out of curiosity: it's not terrible for a decaf tea but I generally tend to avoid decaf teas.
Huang Shan Yun Wu (Yellow Mountain Cloud) from Life in Teacup
Style: Clouds & Mist (Yun Wu) – Region: Huangshan, Anhui, China83 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Mar. 3rd, 2011
Another sample from Life in Teacup, this is my kind of tea: a classic Chinese pan-fired green tea wild a bold flavor. This tea looks typical at first, but as I started experimenting with brewing it, I found it had a lot of personality.
After a few trials, I found that I achieved the best results for my tastes by us...
Darjeeling 2nd Flush Muscatel from Rishi Tea
Style: Darjeeling Second Flush – Region: Darjeeling, India77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 2nd, 2011
My wife's favorite tea. It is indeed fruity and floral. I'm still developing my tea tastebuds but this one is very tasty. It does have a bit of astringency in the aftertaste. Better than other Darjeelings I've tried.

I enjoy the tart yet mildly sweet flavor of this tea. Tastes like sun-ripened raspberries. Very real flavor, not fake or candy-ish.
Great springtime flavor for me. Refreshing even when hot.
True Blueberry® Herbal Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 1st, 2011
It smells great when steeping, like some kind of sweet blueberry dessert bursting with fresh, juicy, plump blueberries.
But it doesn't taste quite that good. There is only a moderate amount of blueberry flavor, but it still isn't bad.
This tea is refreshing, even when hot. An easy-to-drink beverage.
Raspberry Earl from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 4/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 1st, 2011
I had the opportunity to sample this tea at a friend's house.
I find the idea of a raspberry-flavored Earl Grey to be a bit strange: raspberry is not a flavor that I would think of going well with Earl Grey tea.
This blend works, however. I don't like it as much as a regular Earl Grey, but it's really not bad.

Ceylon Orange Pekoe from Twinings
Style: Ceylon Black Tea – Region: Matale, Sri Lanka (Dimbula)63 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
A classic British-style Ceylon tea. Medium-strength black tea with a fairly clean, cool taste. Moderate bitterness and astringency, little sourness. Maltier and deeper than some Ceylons.
Above average among Twinings offerings and better than what I typically expect from a tea bag. This is an example of a tea tha...
Wild Berry Zinger Herbal Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
The aroma of this tea is a sweet and tangy berry scent, reminding me of summer.
The flavor wasn't as bold as I would have expected, based on other Zinger varieties. It had an immature sweetness, as though it were missing something. There was a subtle tartness to it as well.
Then my next cup was brewed with less...
Sweet Dreams Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 2/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
I'm not a fan of this tea, it doesn't do anything for me.
It has relaxing properties of chamomile, but I do not enjoy the flavor. Mint and chamomile aren't a combination I'd choose for myself, but then again, I don't like the flavor of plain chamomile.
It has an odd aroma to it, not really something that makes m...
Honey Vanilla Chamomile from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: ?????77 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
I'm not a fan of the flavor of chamomile, it just ins't for me. But, paired with honey and vanilla flavors, and it is nearly divine.
The sweetness of the two flavors really tones down the chamomile and turns it all into a relaxing cup of tea that is nicely sweet and velvety in mouthfeel.
It is great on a cool ni...
Gingerbread Spice Holiday Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
I'm not usually a fan of ginger flavors, but Gingerbread Spice is nice.
The aroma really reminds me of a cold winter day, warmed by a fire. It has a "homey" smell.
The flavor isn't overly spiced, which is why I like it. It is more of a sweet ginger flavor, as in gingerbread or cookies. I can taste a little cin...
Black Cherry Berry Herb Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
If you want a richly sweet fruit tea, pick up a box of Black Cherry Berry.
The aroma is fantastic and so is the sweet flavor. It has a tart edge to it, but not overly so.
Being herbal, it is naturally caffeine free, so drinking it in the evening is an option for me.
I've not tried it iced, though I think it...
Red Raspberry Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????53 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 1/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
This tea smells amazing when brewing, like candy. Very inviting.
The flavor is also great, tastes wonderfully like fresh sweet and tart raspberries kissed by sunshine.
But I had to rate lower because they use artificial flavors. That really turns me off in teas.
Mint Medley® Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????70 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
I mainly drink this tea when my stomach is less than happy. The mint really helps settle my tummy during minor turmoil, and all without caffeine.
The flavor isn't something I go nuts about. It is very strongly a mint flavor, of both peppermint and spearmint. It is refreshing, it is not sweet.
I don't dislike t...
Pomegranate Pizzazz® Herbal Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Fruit (Herbal) Tea – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
This was a tea my mom loved. It smells great when brewing, makes my mouth water.
It is quite sweet, all by its lonesome. It has a lively fruit flavor (hence the "pizzazz").
There isn't any complexity to this tea, really. It has a simple flavor, but yet bold. I like it.
Green Tea with Pomegranate from Bigelow Tea
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
I enjoy fruit-flavored green teas, to help balance out green tea's natural flavor which isn't something I usually enjoy alone.
Pomegranate goes well with green tea. It allows for the green tea to still have its own unique flavor, but without it being so assertive.
It has a lightly sweet flavor, enough to mellow ...
Vanilla Almond from Republic of Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: Blend83 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
This was my first Republic of Tea experience. I was immediately drawn to their unbleached, tag-less round tea bags.
The aroma of this tea is strong, and smells like a dessert tea. It has a nutty scent along with the vanilla.
The tea has a smooth almond flavor, accented by sweet vanilla. It tastes so real, like...
Peach Apricot Honeybush Tea from Celestial Seasonings
Style: Flavored Honeybush – Region: ?????80 / 100 Aroma: 8/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
This was one of my first honeybush tea encounters, and it was a pleasant one.
The aroma is warm and inviting, smelling sweetly and richly of apricots and peaches.
That aroma is carried on to the taste, and it has such a warming flavor. It is sweet and very delightful, with bold apricot and peach flavors.
Pumpkin Spice Autumn Spiced Tea from Bigelow Tea
Style: Flavored Black Tea – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Feb. 28th, 2011
This tea sure smells great when brewing! Unfortunately, I didn't care for the taste. I tasted more cloves than pumpkin, which was a big disappointment, as I do not like cloves.
My hubby, who loves the flavor of cloves, is the drinker of this tea. He enjoys it. He brews it for about ten minutes, he wants the stro...
