Three Ginger from Pukka
Style: Herbal Tea – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Jul. 30th, 2014
When I first smelled the tea bag I got a whiff of spicy dust that inclined me to think this would be a pretty pungent cup. In truth, it was one of the more muted ginger teas I've had. I felt that the mixture of different roots was a good choice, but would have preferred a tea with a "brighter" or more intense flavor. T...

Style: Flavored Oolong – Region: ?????63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 29th, 2014
Oooh, now this is an interesting tea. I wouldn't be in the right mood for it all the time, but when you need just a hint of fruitness or sweetness it's just about right. The scent is quite pleasant--it reminds me of a plum wine or even sake. It seems that oolong was a pretty good choice to blend with plum. There must b...

Style: Dragon Well (Long Jing) – Region: China70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 28th, 2014
This is the first dragon well tea I've tried and, based on my experience, I really must try more. There is an undertone of baked flavor, but I like it and think it compliments the tea well. It adds complexity without becoming dominant.
I brewed this at 175 °F for 3 minutes. Interestingly, the appearance changed not...
Lemon & Lime Twist from Ahmad Tea
Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 28th, 2014
With the first brewing I could detect a lime scent, but it was fairly subdued. The citrus flavors are even more muted when drinking. They did seem to smooth out the black tea for me, but not enough. I would have appreciated a brighter tasting cup.
There's a hint of bitterness at the end, though it wasn't intense. Th...
Dong Ding Oolong Tea from Eco-Cha
Style: Oolong Tea – Region: Nantou, Taiwan53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Jul. 27th, 2014
I definitely noticed a nutty/roasted flavor and aroma in this tea. That isn't my favorite flavor to find in tea, but it tastes of good quality and would likely be very enjoyable to someone who *does* have that preference.
I brewed it at 195 °F and steeped it for 3 minutes. This gave it plenty of flavor without turn...
Premium Green Tea from Stash Tea
Style: Green Tea – Region: Brazil53 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 26th, 2014
I would agree with others that it's a little grassy and bitter. It's drinkable, but not a favorite. It has a slightly baked aroma that isn't for me. It reminds me a little of teas make with rice. Inside the bag the pieces are very small, like dust.

Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Blend50 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 2/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 25th, 2014
Not my tea, unfortunately--too strong with the black tea flavor for me. The little bit of strawberry flavor made the bitterness a little more palatable, so I certainly enjoyed this more than I would a simple black tea. The aroma was better, with the same two elements but with the fruit coming through a bit more strongl...

Heads Up: I need to redo this rating, as I'm sure I was not rating the herbal version.
I was worried about this tea due to it seeming gimmicky, but I was pleasantly surprised how very tasty it was. Full flavor balanced between spiciness and sweetness. I would happily drink this many, many times. I should note that t...
Lu Lu Lemony White from Positiffitea
Style: Flavored White Tea – Region: ?????73 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Jul. 19th, 2014
The lemon flavor is very, very muted compared to what I expected. I tried it first without anything added and wasn't crazy about it. However, once I added sugar the flavor was amazing! I don't normally add sugar or anything else, but this is one time when it worked out splendidly.

Jasmine green teas are quite good when the jasmine flavor is well balanced and blended, not dominating. That is very true of this tea. I received a gift of a small container of the pearls from a co-worker and now enjoy it at work whenever I need a solid traditional-feeling tea. I put in five of the pearls and some hot...

I tried this tea hoping it'd be a less expensive version of the full leaf Passion flavor by Tazo. It isn't as sophisticated or as sweet as that tea, but it's quite good--especially when you're in the mood for something tart!
A deep reddish purple quickly diffuses once the water is poured. The smell is quite nice and...
Blueberry Green Tea from Republic of Tea
Style: Fruit Green Tea – Region: Blend70 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 11th, 2014
I made this three times and noticed that it varies quite a bit depending on how it is prepared. The best result came from using freshly boiled water (normally, green tea gets a lower temperature) and a steep time of only a few minutes. The flavor then is quite pleasant and smooth, but not especially strong.
Given th...
Honeybush Orange from Adagio Teas
Style: Flavored Honeybush – Region: ?????67 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 11th, 2014
Sweet, with an almost creamy orange flavor that tastes balanced, not fake. I enjoyed it except that it tasted watery compared to other adagio teas I've tried--though this might have been because it was a different barista at the tea shop this time. Maybe it was made weaker. Still, the flavor it did have was lovely, and...

Very interesting tea. It has a robust flavor that's hard to pin down in words. The dominant flavor is one that's savory and fruity at the same time. Perhaps akin to the flavor of sourdough bread? It tastes almost like a black tea, but without the bitterness that causes me to dislike most black teas. Of the tea I've tri...

I'm honestly not sure whether or not I'm tasting the "milky" quality intended, but silky and smooth are quite accurate. I would also say it has a soothing, muted, simple flavor. I've only tried a few straight oolongs and not been a big fan of them, but this one tastes quite comforting. It'd made a very nice everyday dr...

Style: Fruit Black Tea – Region: Yunnan, China70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 6th, 2014
Definitely one of the best black teas I've tried. It isn't bitter (even though I accidentally brewed it for almost 9 minutes), and the blueberry flavor goes with it very well. The fruitiness is present, but not overwhelming and the flavor seems natural. As usual, I didn't add any sugar, milk, or lemon juice.

Masala Chai from Adagio Teas
Style: Chai / Spiced Tea – Region: Sri Lanka / Ceylon90 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Jul. 1st, 2014
The aroma may be the best part of this tea, with the flavor being a solid second. The smell is just about perfect if you're in the mood for something at once spicy and comforting.
The flavor was full and satisfying, though I'd personally prefer a tiny bit of sweetness be added to the flavor. So I ended up adding a b...
Calm Chamomile Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Chamomile Blend – Region: Blend57 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 27th, 2014
Still trying to give chamomile a chance, but it's not really working out. This doesn't have a bad taste and seems like a quality product, and the additional flavors (most notably, mint) aren't bad choices, but as a whole they don't fall together for me. I won't be getting this one again.

Now THIS is what a blended green tea should taste like! Love the fruitiness. I tried this twice, once hot and once iced, and both times it was excellent. It was prepared for me at a local coffee shop, so I can't give recommendations on steep time, but I'll be sure to ask them next time I get tea there.
Very smooth, ...
Earl Grey Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Earl Grey Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 23rd, 2014
I wanted to try another Earl Grey to make sure I properly gave that flavor a shot: I'm now more sure that black teas aren't my bag.
I think that someone who actually likes black tea (especially with a slight bitterness) would find this one pleasant. The bergamot and lavender work well together, both as a flavor and ...
Special Gunpowder from Temple of Heaven
Style: Gunpowder Green Tea – Region: China83 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 5/5
Jun. 18th, 2014
The scent is very muted, but once you take a sip the flavor is pleasant and of good strength. It's definitely got a vegetal, almost savory feel to it, yet it isn't bitter at all. I like the taste and think it would pair it well with meals. It's quite good on its own, too. I haven't tried too many Chinese teas, but gunp...

If you're in three mood for a lightly minty green tea, this one isn't bad. The flavors are smoother, subtler, and more harmonious than their herbal mint tea.

Very nice green tea. It has a flavor somewhere between nutty and also fruity, if green tea were a fruit. Naturally sweet enough, it needs no sweetener. You'll want to steep it briefly and drink it somewhat quickly, as the taste can go bitter even after it's done steeping.
I only wish the price was lower.
Refresh Mint Full Leaf from Tazo Tea
Style: Mint Tea – Region: ?????60 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 3/5
Jun. 1st, 2014
Not a bad drink. I'm not as into the flavor of spearmint as I am peppermint, but if what you're in the mood for is mint it's a pretty good balance. This won't be a favorite of mine, but I suspect that's largely because the flavor profile isn't really me. The quality of the tea seems pretty good. It doesn't have an arti...

This is the first time I've really enjoyed a flavored green tea. More often I prefer my green tea pure, but the raspberry in this works really, really well. It's the kind of tea I could see becoming an "everyday" type with me. The aroma was pleasantly fruity too.
