This tea smells like a campfire. The smoky aroma is kind of strong. I like it, but I could probably get tired of it easily. It tastes kind of weirdly sweet. I have mixed feelings about the flavor. I added cream and sugar.

This is a nice traditional black tea. It tastes a lot like your standard black tea from a tea bag, but better. This is a top level black tea, but it can fool you. If you are looking for a bold, strong, malty black tea then this one is not for you. This tea is smooth and delicate. It is very low in tannin. While there is a pretty strong aroma when brewing it doesn't translate into the finished product.

I enjoyed this tea, and thought it very high-quality, but it was too smooth or mellow for my tastes, and I was never able to get a sufficiently strong cup out of it. Its flavor profile was similar to bai hao oolong (with a different aroma), and I find that tea too smooth for me.

When I first wake up, I don't have it in me to be a tea snob, carefully sniffing out the grassy hay notes in obscure Chinese teas. It's not what I crave at that hour, and the subtlety would be lost on me anyway.

I thought this tea was good for a basic black. The flavor wasn't as complex as the description suggests. I noticed more of a smokey taste than floral and fruity undertones. I enjoyed this tea overall, but I probably wouldn't buy it on my own for its listed price.
