This is what I'd expect from this style: a very strong black tea, bitter, full-bodied, and very malty. It isn't my favorite type of tea but for what it is, and for the fact that it's in teabags, I think it's pretty good.

Fruity, even for a Darjeeling, and mellow, except for some very strong objectionable qualities that emerge. There's a harshness in the aroma that I could do without...the aftertaste is also very tannic even though at first this tea tastes smooth. Astringent for a Darjeeling.
Disappointing. Definitely recognizable...

Very finely broken black tea--no semblance of whole leaf left in the mix. Aroma is mostly malty with a hint of rice-like tones. Fairly tannic even if brewed weakly.
The instructions on the tin said 3-4 minutes; 4 minutes yields a very strong cup, which some people may like, but I preferred 2 or less.

This is a very strong black tea. While I tend to prefer slightly more mellow black teas, this tea is among one of the better teas of such strength that I've tried. I was pleasantly surprised with this teabag; it's just fannings/dust and doesn't look like much, but even the dry teabag is pleasantly aromatic. There is just something about red rose that makes it the best black iced tea. It seems to not ever go flat tasting even after hanging in the fridge a few days. Everyone raves about my iced tea, and I just laugh. It's such a bargain.

My favorite of the low priced Assam from special tea's. Very rich in flavor,though if you are a lover of malty Assam you will find this tea to be lacking a truly strong malty-ness. If you are like me then I suggest Yamamotoyama's orange pekoe.

Well....it tastes like it tastes. I could probably ID this tea blindfolded. It reminds me oddly of yerba mate and never brews very strong. Aroma is pretty much nil. I only really drink this tea at hotels.

This is my everyday breakfast tea. Deeper and darker colored than an English breakfast, this very full-bodied black tea (with a splash of milk) is one of the most satisfying teas I've ever had.
