Nilgiri Select Black Tea from Wegmans
Style: Black Tea – Region: Nilgiri, India70 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 21st, 2013
I thought this tea was pretty good, it wasn't terribly outstanding, but it satisfied my craving for a basic black, and the price seemed reasonable. With the combined price and quality, I feel like this tea could compete and overthrow my regular bagged blacks any day. I would buy it again if there were a Wegmans close...

I thought that this tea had a really nice aroma to its dried leaf, which had strong spicy tones. The brew wasn't as fragrant, but I still enjoyed its taste. This tea wasn't anything spectacular, but it wasn't all bad. I thought it could have had a stronger flavor, which the dried leaf suggested. The price seemed reas...

I thought this tea was really good. The smell of the dried leaf was fresh and grassy, and the taste of the tea was equally fresh. At first, I didn't think it was terribly outstanding, until I had a second cup- I was impressed that the second brew was just as good as the first!

The smell of this tea was amazing! I loved the complex mixture of spices in the dried leaf, so much so that I let a nearby friend smell it as well - she agreed! I was a little bit disappointed that the tea wasn't flavored as strong as the dried leaf suggested, but overall I was happy with my cup and would drink it ag...

*disclaimer* This is a rating from someone who doesn't usually like flavored teas - if I usually drink flavored teas, I like the flavor to be minimal!
Because of my preference for subtlety, I really liked this tea. The flavor was mild and the texture smooth, which made a good brew in my book! The only complaint I ...
Special Blend Tea from PG Tips
Style: Black Tea – Region: Blend60 / 100 Aroma: 7/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5
Mar. 4th, 2013
I thought it would be fitting to have my first cup of PG Tips since it was available at a friend's house, and this was the one. My price rating might be a little skewed since I got my bag for free, but from some brief online research I feel like PG Tips is a little overpriced for what it is. Despite the price, I like...

I thought this tea was pretty good, not anything spectacular, but definitely a good, regular, black. I thought the dried leaf smelled better than the brewed tea. Overall, I thought it was a good buy for its price. I'm looking forward to trying what else Wegmans has to offer.

I can see how some people would like this tea if they are into vanilla. It had a strong vanilla aroma that smelled a little too sweet for me, reminiscent of the vanilla extract I use when baking. With the smell being so strong, surprisingly, it had barely a hint of vanilla in its flavor. I only tasted vanilla toward...

I wasn't impressed with this tea and found it quite bitter, which was a bit disappointing since I like so many other teas by Arbor Teas! I don't have any complaints about their pricing or the scent of the tea, which was average, but I didn't like the taste at all. After finding the flavor to be too sour and strong on...

This has to be one of my favorite teas! Its light and exquisite floral smell often has me brewing two cups, which is rare! Its flavor is smooth and subtle adding a nice mellow compliment to the aroma. I look forward to relaxing to many more cups of Jasmine Petal in the future :)

I was happy with this tea, and especially its reasonable price! To me, it had a subtle taste, like most oolongs, and I was happy with how smooth and soothing it was to drink. I'm hoping to buy some the next time I go to my local Asian supermarket :)

I thought this tea was good for a basic black. The flavor wasn't as complex as the description suggests. I noticed more of a smokey taste than floral and fruity undertones. I enjoyed this tea overall, but I probably wouldn't buy it on my own for its listed price.

I thought this tea was good. The smell reminded me freshly peeled oranges, and, for how strong it was, I was surprised that the flavor was so subtle. I'd recommend it for a basic flavored tea, if you are in the mood for something that isn't terribly overpowering.

As usual, I am impressed with how reasonably priced Ahmad Teas can be! This tea was a great buy, with a subtle flavor of cardamom and smooth texture. I didn't find the cardamom taste overpowering at all, although the dried leaf did smell heavily of it!

Yet another outstanding black tea from Arbor Teas! My initial reaction of "this is another good black tea, not the best, but really good" changed about 3/4 of the way through my cup! While this tea didn't pack as much of a punch as the Assam Black, I loved the subtle and smooth flavor and fully appreciated the velvet...

First off, let me just say that I really do like most of the teas that I've tried from Two Leaves and a Bud. In fact, their Jasmine Petal Tea and African Sunset are two of my favorite bagged teas!

Firstly, who knew that Wedgwood made tea? Secondly, while I normally like black teas, this was much too strong! It was strong, a little bitter, and tasted too burnt for my liking. While I appreciate other Wedgwood products, I probably won't be having this again.

To me, this didn't taste like a normal chai. I found the tea a little weak for my liking, without much flavor. It did have a strong scent, but not very spicy like I would expect. Its smell was more reminiscent of potpourri my parents left out at their house when I was younger. The price was pretty reasonable. Overa...

I just tried the bagged version of this tea and was pretty pleased. Overall I liked the tea and thought that it was refreshing, like a typical green. I thought this tea was a good basic black, and it is pretty inexpensive too! I drank it straight without cream or sugar and didn't find it too strong (although I do like a good cup of strong black tea so my tastes may be different from some!). I'd be more apt to keep this tea around as a basic black over Lipton, and ...
