This tea is okay. I don't usually like herbal teas very much, though. I don't like this flavor a whole lot. I added cream and sugar.

Dragon Well greens teas are my favorite of the greens. This one is the perfect balance of bright grassy flavor and more mellow earthy tastes. I'm not sure the exact specs on when this particular Dragon Well was picked or what flush it might be but regardless its flavor works for me! :)

Not what I expected; this herbal tea has a fair amount of hibiscus, giving it a deep purple color and tangy flavor. There is little lemon evident in the aroma.
I'm not a fan; it was too sour for me. I might have liked this one better had I been expecting the hibiscus...I sometimes rather like blends containing hib...
Candy Cane Lane from Celestial Seasonings

I can't really taste the tea, but it has a nice vanilla flavor, and I like the combination of vanilla with mint. It's a little too minty for me. I added cream and sugar.

Mar. 22nd, 2012
This tea is interesting, but I'm not used to pu-erh. It has a vegetal aroma. It tastes really mild, and kind of savory. With the first infusion it left a kind of tingly feeling in my mouth. I added cream and sugar.

Style: Pure Tea (Camellia sinensis) – Region: Kenya63 / 100 Aroma: 6/10 Flavor: 4/5 Value: 3/5
Mar. 21st, 2012
This purple tea was quite interesting...it did taste substantially different from most black tea, even though at a glance it just looked like a typical broken-leaf black tea.
Flavor is initially smooth, but it has some bite to it after the initial sip, leaving an almost peppery finish. Unlike the Royal Tajiri Tea w...

This tea has a distinct peachy flavor that I think I've tastes in other Darjeeling teas, and I don't like that flavor in teas. It has a little bitter aftertaste, which I don't like either, and it doesn't have a very strong black tea flavor that I usually like in strong black teas. It has a nice, interesting aroma, thou...

I just had my first cup of this tulsi and was pleased by it's flavor, texture, and aroma!
Overall I thought it was sweet and light, making it enjoyable to sip and relax with. To me, the scent was slightly floral and the taste smooth and pleasing. The aftertaste was sweet at first, adopting a tolerably faint bittern...
Formosa Oolong from Imperial Tea Garden
Style: Amber Oolong – Region: Taiwan / Formosa57 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 19th, 2012
Broken-leaf, fairly dark.
More bite than a typical bai hao oolong; more black-tea like. Fairly strong roast, some woody tones, only a hint of fruitiness. I like this more than most Chinese oolongs in its price range and of a similarly dark roast, but in the end I'd rather pay a little more for whole-leaf oolong.

This tea is interesting. It has a kind of sweet, malty flavor. It has a kind of smoky aroma. I like it more than other oolong teas I've had, but I don't tend to like them a whole lot. I added cream and sugar.

I initially liked the flavor of this tea, but the longer I sipped it the less I found it appealing. After brewing it for about 3 minutes I found that it had a sweet taste and was light when I began drinking it. As time passed and I continued drinking it, the flavor became more and more bitter and left a heavy taste ...

It seems to have that strange aftertaste that you get with licorice or anise (or some artificial sweeteners), and it's a bit "grassy". BUT, the ginger and other ingredients make for a wonderfully-calming, stomach-soothing hot tea. When enjoyed with scones or ginger crisps, it's a very pleasant way to relax in the after...

Served Gong Fu style by Evan. Golden-green dry leaf is pleasingly aromatic.
I liked this tea very much. Predominately floral aroma, yet bold and complex, with skunky (which I liked) and herbaceous undertones. There's a faint soapy quality evident in each infusion, but it did not detract from the overall experienc...

Style: Mao Feng Green Tea – Region: Huangshan, Anhui, China94 / 100 Aroma: 10/10 Flavor: 5/5 Value: 4/5
Mar. 12th, 2012
This tea was served to me, Gong Fu style, by Evan. Dry leaf was extremely aromatic.
I found it to be simultaneously strong and refined. The other mao feng green teas I've tried have either been relatively coarser-tasting, with more astringency, or smooth but too weak. This was a powerful tea with a bold flavor, b...
Tai Ping Hou Kui from Upton Tea Imports
Style: Taiping Hou Kui – Region: China47 / 100 Aroma: 5/10 Flavor: 3/5 Value: 2/5

This is the first example of Tai Ping Hou Kui that I've sampled, so I didn't really know what to expect. I was disappointed.
This tea was slow to infuse. I wish I had had more of the sample to experiment with; I only had enough for two western-style brewings, both of which I steeped twice, using Upton's 3-minute r...
